Missions & Ministries Supported by The FCC.
In accordance with the instructions that our Heavenly Father has given us through His Word,
the Board of Missions uses the biblical model to determine how to disperse the church’s tithing offering.
“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” (Malachi 3:10).
For this reason, the church’s “tithe” (10% from all offerings) is set apart to first support organizations or ministries whose goal is to advance the “Kingdom”. The “Kingdom” is an organization or ministry that shares the gospel of Jesus as part of the help they provide to the community. Any funds remaining after the church’s tithe is set apart as benevolence to help widows and orphans, members of our church family, and local families in need.

BethChesed
PO Box 3483
Woonsocket, RI 02895
401-596-0411
Beth Chesed (House of Kindness in Hebrew), is an orphanage in the fertile fields of Caracol, on the north coast of Haiti. This orphanage is unique in that it is run by a Messianic Jewish congregation some 1500 miles away, on the east coast of the smallest state in the US, the state of Rhode Island. When this congregation was entrusted with the responsibility to care for these children, it began to teach them the instructions that G-d gave to the children of Israel. Before long, signs and wonders followed. It then became clear that G-d had a much bigger plan than simply helping orphans with food, clothing, and shelter. He desires to heal Haiti, a little nation instrumental in the rebirth of the state of Israel in 1948… and He will do it with the one thing that will never pass away, His Word.

Jubilee Prison Fellowship
www.prisonfellowship.org/ PO Box 1550
Merrifield, VA 22116-1550
1-800-206-9764
Prison Fellowship believes that a restorative approach to prisoners, former prisoners, and all those affected by crime and incarceration can make communities safer and healthier. Our ministry is founded on the conviction that all people are created in God’s image and that no life is beyond God’s reach. As Christians, we believe that Jesus — Himself brought to trial, executed, buried, and brought to life again — offers hope, healing, and a new purpose for each life. He can make even the most broken people and situations whole again. Through an amazing awakening to new hope and life purpose, those who once broke the law are transformed and mobilized to serve their neighbors, replacing the cycle of crime with a cycle of renewal.

Rabbi’s Discretionary Benevolence Funds
One of the responsibilities of Missions is to allocate benevolence funds to orphans, widows, the poor and needy, as well as families going through difficult financial times. Although it is a blessing to provide this help for anyone in the community who needs it, it is our biblical priority to provide first for those suffering financially in our church family. As it is written, “If anyone does not take care of his own relatives, especially his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. (1 Timothy 5:8) Confidential is respected. Rabbi Peter Olivera and Janet Hauer are the only individuals who know the identity of the recipients.
