Missions & Ministries Supported by The FCC.

In accordance with the instructions that our Heavenly Father has given us through His Word,
the Board of Missions uses the biblical model to determine how to disperse the church’s tithing offering.

“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” (Malachi 3:10).

For this reason, the church’s  “tithe” (10% from all offerings) is set apart to first support organizations or ministries whose goal is to advance the “Kingdom”.  The “Kingdom” is an organization or ministry that shares the gospel of Jesus as part of the help they provide to the community.  Any funds remaining after the church’s tithe is set apart as benevolence to help widows and orphans, members of our church family, and local families in need.

Holy Joe’s Café has become a dynamic part of military Chaplains 24/7/365 service to the troops, which also includes: helping soldiers with family emergencies, care for wounded soldiers, conducting memorial services for the fallen, and counseling survivors when a soldier is killed in battle. Soldiers are allowed complete confidentiality to express themselves to the Chaplains.

“Holy Joe’s Café is a place where chaplains in makeshift chapels are able to bring a taste of home to the tired, the anxious, the angry, the lonely and the wounded,” says Chaplain A.S. “They all can get a gourmet coffee, a reminder that the world they willingly left behind still cares.”

Woonsocket, RI 02895

Beth Chesed (House of Kindness in Hebrew), is an orphanage in the fertile fields of Caracol, on the north coast of Haiti. This orphanage is unique in that it is run by a Messianic Jewish congregation some 1500 miles away, on the east coast of the smallest state in the US, the state of Rhode Island. When this congregation was entrusted with the responsibility to care for these children, it began to teach them the instructions that G-d gave to the children of Israel.

Before long, signs and wonders followed. It then became clear that G-d had a much bigger plan than simply helping orphans with food, clothing, and shelter. He desires to heal Haiti, a little nation instrumental in the rebirth of the state of Israel in 1948… and He will do it with the one thing that will never pass away, His Word.

Prison Fellowship believes that a restorative approach to prisoners, former prisoners, and all those affected by crime and incarceration can make communities safer and healthier. Their ministry is founded on the conviction that all people are created in God’s image and that no life is beyond God’s reach. As Christians, they believe that Jesus — Himself brought to trial, executed, buried, and brought to life again — offers hope, healing, and a new purpose for each life. He can make even the most broken people and situations whole again.

Through an amazing awakening to new hope and life purpose, those who once broke the law are transformed and mobilized to serve their neighbors, replacing the cycle of crime with a cycle of renewal. Angel Tree is for the children whose parent(s) are behind bars. A Christmas gift and personal message is delivered on behalf of their parents who is behind bars. They are also reminded of God’s love, as shown in the gift of His Son, Jesus, so many years ago.

The Board of Missions

“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, says the LORD Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” (Malachi 3:10)

In accordance with the instructions that our Heavenly Father has given us through his Word, the Board of Missions uses a biblical model to determine how to disperse the church’s tithing offering.

The church’s “tithe” (10% of all offerings) is set apart to support organizations and ministries whose goal is to advance the “Kingdom”. The “Kingdom” is an organization or ministry that shares the gospel of Jesus as part of the help they provide to the community. A portion of the funds is also set apart to support members of our church family, and members of the community.

The Board of Missions prayerfully reviews each organization’s mission and selects different organizations to receive a percentage of our quarterly tithe collection to support their ongoing efforts to advance the Kingdom.

As of December 2023, the following organizations are receiving a portion of the church’s tithing.
